The Aristocats
By: Ellie Trott
Madame de Bonfamille and her elegant cat Duchess lived in a luxurious home in Paris. Duchess raised her three kittens, Berlioz, Toulouse, and Marie, with great care.
Madame de Bonfamille's butler, Edgar, was shocked to learn that she was leaving her entire fortune to her cats. He believed that he deserved it far more. One day, as the cats slept, Edgar loaded them into a basket and abandoned them in the countryside.
The cats awoke lost and confused. They soon befriended an alley cat named Thomas O'Malley, who helped lead them back toward the city. He invited them to stay at his home, where his friends were having a party. They were great musicians. (There are cats playing the trumpet, guitar, accordion, piano & bass)
Edgar was furious to see that the cats had found their way back home. He placed them in a big trunk and made plans to send them far away, but O'Malley and his friends saved the day. They locked Edgar in the trunk instead, and loaded him onto a moving truck that took him away.
"Smile everyone!" called Madame de Bonfamille. She was overjoyed to have her precious cats home again. She had also grown quite fond of their hero, Thomas O'Malley, and he quickly became a beloved member of the family.
