MSU Museum Dino Dash - October 4, 2009

On Sunday, October 4, 2009, Ellie, Ezra and I did the MSU Museum Dino Dash 5K walk. We had a lot of fun and finished with a decent time of 47min 39seconds...not too bad pushing a double stroller (83rd overall and 9th in my age division). We could have done much better but we got stuck behind some slow walkers on the sidewalk without room to pass. Ellie entertained me and other walkers by singing 90% of the way!

Ellie then participated in the 200 yard mini dash and had a blast! She kept asking "now is it my turn?" In fact, after the walk we went back to the car to drop off the stroller and switch Ezra to a carrier and she started crying "what about my race." She got a metal for finishing too!

She got her complete fill of dinosaurs from seeing the dinosaur bones in the museum, an inflatable t-rex, a dinosaur pin and dinosaur race shirt. She also came home with homemade slime, a balloon fishing pole from the clowns, and a flashing light to clip on her when she is outside in the dark.
